Owners Briana Havel and Tasha Leas
Briana Havel Bio:
Miss Bri will be teaching our ballet, jazz, pointe, floor barre, and our Youth Hawk All Stars! “I’m excited to share my passion for dance with my students. I love being able to have an impact on our students by helping them reach their maximum potential and succeed in their goals both on an off the dance floor.” Bri has been dancing since the young age of three and was on her high school dance team! Briana graduated from the University of Iowa receiving her Communication Studies Degree with a minor in Dance! Bri is beginning her seventh season coaching the Prairie Varsity Poms and one of the founders of the Hawk All Stars! “Owning a dance studio has always been my goal and dream, I’m beyond excited to provide a high quality and well-balanced dance education. I can’t wait to work with our dancers!”
Tasha Leas Bio:
Mrs. Tasha will be teaching our smallest of dancers in our combo and level one classes! With seven years in Early Childhood Education she is combining her passion for teaching and dance at Studio 360! "I'm excited to ignite the passion for dance in our students! Dance has many benefits for developing young children including physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development! With children having more sedentary lifestyles it's important for them to step away from screens to exercise and learn how to socialize in a class setting while still having fun!" Mrs. Tasha is also known for coaching the Prairie Varsity Poms and one of the founders of Hawk All Stars! Owning a dance studio wouldn't be possible without the love and support from her husband Jim. " Owning a dance studio has been a dream of mine since I can remember and I feel very blessed to be able to follow my dreams and it wouldn't be possible without him or Briana. I can't wait to help others reach for their stars and follow their dreams."
Sarah Havel Bio:
Miss Sarah will be teaching our hip-hop classes. She has been dancing since she was 4 and was on her high school dance team! Miss. Sarah was on the UNI Dance Team and earned a National Championship in 2011! "I love teaching hip hop because it is expression through movement. Every move is unique and flows to the beats of music."
Sara Burroughs Bio:
Miss. Sara will be teaching our Junior Hawk All Stars, strength and conditioning, and our Jazz 1 classes. She has been dancing since the age of 3! She was a National Dance Alliance (NDA) camp instructor, danced for the University of Iowa (Go Hawks), and danced for the Cedar Rapids Titans! She is also a pro fitness competitor! With a strong background in fitness and dance, Miss. Sara will push her dancers to the next level by challenging their strength and conditioning to develop their dance skills."When dancers focus on targeted muscles in strength and conditioning classes, they build the proper technique to execute dance skills safely and correctly."
Lainee Uitermarkt Bio:
Lainee Uitermarkt (Yarkosky) is beyond excited to join the staff at Studio 360 & begin working in the Cedar Rapids area! Mrs. Lainee will teach a variety of tap, jazz, and ballet classes! Mrs. Lainee grew up dancing competitively in Iowa until she joined her high school dance team where she was the ISDTA State Solo Champion in 2007. She then continued her dance training in Florida where she completed high school & began her collegiate training at Valencia College & later the University of Iowa. She was an NAIA All-American dancer & captain while on her college dance team. She has spent the last 6 years traveling across the midwest choreographing for high school dance teams, and the last 3 years coaching the competitive dance team at William Penn University. Mrs. Lainee’s love for all styles of dance, fitness, and the true technique of dance make her passionate about teaching, and she cannot wait to share that with your children!
